NorthWood Boys Tennis opened its 2026 season with a 4-1 road victory over Jimtown on Tuesday, as the Panthers captured two singles matches and swept both doubles positions. The varsity-only match marked the first competition of the season for NorthWood, which begins the year with a 1-0 overall record. Sophomore Carter Rose delivered a strong performance at No. 2 singles, defeating Jimtown sophomore Jacob Anthony in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1. NorthWood also collected the point at No. 3 singles, where junior Jack Johnson earned a victory by forfeit. The Panthers secured both doubles matches in straight sets. At No. 1 doubles, seniors Eli Heckathorn and Ethan Tompos defeated Ethan Creech and Hayden Hines, 6-3, 6-1. Senior Sebastian Chapman and junior Colton Ewers completed the doubles sweep at the No. 2 position with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Colten Allen and Alex Pyfer. Jimtown's lone point came at No. 1 singles.
